A police spokesperson told Patch the suspects were teenagers and that the theft was not political in nature but, rather, an act of mischief. The teens told police the signs were taken from the area of the Greenridge and Weatherstone subdivisions.
Anyone hoping to be reunited with his or her stolen sign is asked to call the New Berlin Police Department.
