New Berlin To Host S. Moorland Road Project Public Meeting
Waukesha County will hold its next public involvement meeting in New Berlin's City Hall.

NEW BERLIN, WI — Waukesha County will hold a public involvement meeting in New Berlin's city hall to elicit resident feedback to a proposed project on South Moorland Road.
The public meeting will take place in person at 4:30 p.m. July 7 at New Berlin City Hall Council Chambers, 3805 S. Casper Drive.
The county public works department is currently planning a project for 1.4 miles of South Moorland Road from West Coffee Road to Beloit Road. The project would cross the intersection of South Moorland Road and West National Avenue.

The open house meeting will present project information, and design staff will be on hand to hear feedback from residents. Exhibits with the recommended alternative to South Moorland Road's current state will be posted on July 1.
Unvaccinated attendees will be required to wear masks based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the county said.

County officials said that the project would involve:
- Replacing the existing concrete pavement.
- Reconfiguring intersections to improve safety.
- Replacing traffic signals.
- Minor grading to ensure a level road base.
- Storm water improvements.
The county will move median curb lines inward 2 feet to accommodate parking and bicycles, it added. The outside curb line will be replaced in the same location it is in now.
