Man Believed To Be Behind New Berlin Car Break-Ins Arrested
The man who was arrested is suspected of numerous recent car break-ins within the last several weeks.
NEW BERLIN, WI—A man suspected of being behind several recent car break-ins in New Berlin was arrested after a concerned resident called police.
Police responded to a complaint at 10:30 p.m. in the 12800 block of West Prospect Drive. A man from Milwaukee was arrested and police say he is suspected of numerous recent car break-ins within the last several weeks in the surrounding area.
"We want to thank our citizens for keeping a vigil watch in our community," New Berlin Police said in a Facebook post.

Many residents expressed thanks over social media.
"Thank you, to all our NB police officers for watching out for us. You are very, very much appreciated," a Facebook user said.

"I want to thank the NBPD for their fast response and apprehension of the suspect. It was scary. Lock your doors and vehicles at all times. Thank God we were locked up tight. Great work NBPD," a user said.

"NBPD does a great job. And thank you to the citizen who saw the subject and called it in," a user said.
