New Berlin, WI—New Berlin Police responded to several calls of theft over the past week. On Sept. 9 in the 13700 block of West Wilbur Drive, a resident reported a suspicious person who had entered an unlocked car and stole the ignition key that was left inside.
On Sept. 8, in the 14500 block of West Brian Road, a resident reported the theft of a car that contained keys. Also on the same date in the 14600 block of West Dianne Drive, officers noticed a vehicle had been entered recently. The owner confirmed the unlocked car had been entered and gone through, but nothing was missing.
On Sept. 5 in the 3600 block of South Deer Creek Parkway, a resident reported damage to their car. On Sept. 2, in the 3300 block of South Sunny Slope Road, a resident reported the windows on her car were smashed in overnight. Two people were observed fleeing from the scene. The report didn't provide a description.

Other thefts
On Sept. 7 in the 3200 block of South Monterey Drive, a resident reported someone stole two political signs from the front yard of their residence. On Sept. 2, in the 3400 block of South Monterey Drive, a resident reported the theft of two political yard signs. On the same day, in the 15800 block of West Churchview Drive, a resident reported the theft of a political sign from the front yard of his residence.
