OAK CREEK, WI — Authorities in Oak Creek say a 16-year-old driver and a 26-year-old passenger were transported to Children's Hospital after an auto accident during the afternoon of May 20 in which witnesses say was a high-speed crash.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, a woman was exiting the dog park, and did not see any traffic heading east on Rawson Ave. just after 2 p.m. on May 20. Suddenly, she told police, she saw a vehicle approaching from behind at a high rate of sped. The witness said she tried getting out of the way, only to see the driver - whom witness said reached speeds of 100 miles per hour on Rawson Ave - collide with a guard rail, roll over, and come to a rest off the roadway and into a ditch.

According to police logs, both the driver and passenger were transported to Children's Hospital. The driver suffered a broken left femur and the passenger several lacerations and a head injury.
