Ridge Community Church to Buy Value Oak Creek Cinema Building

(Originally published by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) OAK CREEK, WI — The Value Oak Creek Cinema will be sold by Marcus Theatres to The Ridge Community Church, which will convert the building for its use. The Ridge's main location is at 4500 S. 108th St., in a revamped Walmart store.

The cinema, 6912 S. 27th St., will continue to operate until the sale is completed, which is expected to be in 2017. The Ridge plans to open its Oak Creek church next fall, theMilwaukee Journal Sentinel says.

“We are excited for the opportunity to serve the people of Oak Creek and surrounding communities," lead pastor Mark Weigt said in a statement. "We currently have several hundred attendees from this area of metro Milwaukee, and we look forward to serving even more of our new neighbors at both our services and through volunteer work and community outreach.”
