Assault Rifle, Other Weapons Missing From Wauwatosa Home

Bomb threats, stolen weapons and an unusual domestic abuse case are some of the most serious crime and police stories in southeastern Wisconsin reported by Patch this week.

Weapons stolen from Wauwatosa home: Five semi-automatic weapons, including an assault rifle, are on the streets after a burglary at a Wauwatosa home that held a "cache" of unsecured firearms and ammunition. The homeowner said he had left the home for few hours and came back to find some things disturbed and some of his guns missing. Police would find no sign of a forced entry.

Taser used to subdue man during Pick 'n Save rampage: When a woman asked a customer at the Shorewood Pick 'n Save customer for help reaching a bottle of water, it touched off a rampage that ended with the man arrested and facing jail time. When police arrived, they had to use a Taser to subdue the man, who was charged with two misdemeanors.

Man accused of assaulting teen: A Milwaukee man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old Oak Creek girl he met online. The man met the girl through a social networking site last summer and went to Oak Creek in January, where the two had sex.

Man charged in bomb threat: A 31-year-old Milwaukee man has been charged with making a bomb threat at a Wauwatosa assisted-living center where he ex-girlfriend works — a threat that caused the evacuation of scores of elderly residents and employees. It took Wauwatosa police just three hours to find the culprit, who admitted to making the calls because he wanted to get his ex-girlfriend fired.

Man accused of dragging woman while holding infant: A 21-year-old Greenfield man is accused of dragging a woman around the room by her hair while holding the couple’s baby in the other arm. The couple began to argue and the man grabbed the woman by the hair and dragged her around the living room with one hand while holding the infant in the other, according to a criminal complaint.
