County Sheriff Responds To Lawnmower Accident
A man was pinned under an overturned lawn mower at Covered Bridge Park Wednesday morning.

On Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at approximately 8:29 a.m., the Ozaukee
County Sheriff’s Office responded to Covered Bridge Park located at 1700
Covered Bridge Rd. in the Town of Cedarburg for the report of a man
pinned under an overturned lawn mower.

62-year old Robert A. Savatski of Port Washington was operating a lawn
mower in the park near the creek. While cutting close to the water the
lawn mower slid down the riverbank, rolled over, and pinned him
underneath it in Cedar Creek.
The Cedarburg Fire Department, Grafton Fire Department, Thiensville
Paramedics and the Town of Cedarburg Public Works Department
responded to assist with rescue operations.

A Town of Cedarburg front end loader was used to lift the lawn mower off
of Savatski. Savatski was transported to Aurora Medical Center in the
Village of Grafton for non-life-threatening injuries.
