A 24-year-old Port Washington man thought he'd be sneaky by ditching a bottle on the beach, but an officer on patrol knew better.
The man was walking on North Beach at 10:28 p.m. Aug. 23 when an officer on foot patrol was headed their way, according to police reports. The officer watched the man throw a bottle into the rocks.
The officer found the bottle to have alcohol in it, and cited the man for possession/consumption of alcohol in public.
