The charge is illegal hunting, which is a misdemeanor.

The man police say struck a deer on purpose on South Beach Road pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to a misdemeanor charge of illegal hunting.

Michael Cox, 29, of West Bend hit the deer back on April 27. The incident was captured by We Energies security cameras; video shows Cox’s truck sitting in the road for a period of time before the deer tries to cross and is then struck.
