Oktoberfest Event Benefits GloBall Giving Charity

A beer/wine tasting event also featuring auctioned items will benefit "GloBall Giving," a locally organized nonprofit organization that collects used sporting goods equipment to donate to children around the world.

The event is set for Oct. 4 at the River Club of Mequon.

GloBall Giving has helped thousands of children through its efforts, donating more than 1,000 pounds of equipment, according to its website.
