Port Business Owner Honored with Military Promotion During Rock the Harbor

Major CJ Wirsching-Neuser of Vines to Cellar will be promoted during a ceremony at the August 30 festival, which features country star artist Darryl Worley on the main stage.

Rock the Harbor is pleased to announce that they will have the honor of hosting a brief military promotion before national recording artist Darryl Worley takes the main stage on August 30.

Major CJ Wirsching-Neuser will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel by her husband, Jim, with Brigadier General Pat Heritsch officiating. CJ and Jim together own Vines to Cellar in Port Washington.

Wirsching-Neuser was promoted to Lt. Col. as of June 6. She has served in the US Army for 30 years, which have been split between active duty, Georgia National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserves.  She has completed 2 deployments to Kuwait with her most recent being Aug 2011 to July 2012.  CJ Wirsching-Neuser is currently assigned to the 63rd RSC in Mountain View, CA as the Officer In Charge of the 63rd's Yellow Ribbon deployment reintegration events where she travels between LA, Anaheim, and Dallas.

Rock the Harbor is a partnership with Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson along with the Port Washington Main Street.  Rock the Harbor is free admission street festival that is a celebration for motorcycle enthusiasts, tourists and surrounding locals happening simultaneously with the 110th Anniversary. Port Washington will bring great music, food and beverage, shopping and entertainment to its downtown.

American Country Music artist Darryl Worley will be on the Main Stage starting at 8:00 pm.  Darryl Worley has produced nearly twenty hit singles, including three #1s, as well as chart-topping albums and sales in the millions. He has topped the charts with singles including: I Miss My Friend; Awful, Beautiful Life; and Have You Forgotten.

Reserved seating tickets are available for $40 online at www.rocktheharbor.net or at Port Washington State Bank downtown Port Washington.

Rock the Harbor kicks off at 3 p.m. August 30, and festival grounds close at 11:00 pm.  Admission is free.
