PORT WASHINGTON - The Cedar Vineyard housing and winery development took a step forward as Port Washington officials approved a rezoning so the project's developer can move ahead to purchase the property.Â
According to a report by the Milwaukee Business Journal, the site needed to be rezoned from the current agriculture use before the developer can borrow money to buy it, according to a Port Washington city report. The sale is scheduled for June, the Business Journal reported.
The Cedar Vineyard development includes plans for 73 home sites, a 100-acre nature conservancy, a vineyard and winery on the former VK Development property on Port Washington’s south side.
