'Saved By The Bell' Alum Dustin Diamond Diagnosed With Cancer
Actor Dustin Diamond, who portrayed Screech Powers on the '90s sitcom was recently diagnosed with cancer.

PORT WASHINGTON,WI— "Saved By The Bell star Dustin Diamond,44, a former resident of Wisconsin, has been reportedly diagnosed with cancer. The actor is best known for playing Samuel "Screech" Powers on the TV sitcom "Saved by the Bell" from the late 1980s until 2000.
Diamond's public Facebook page confirmed the news.

Last year a home owned Diamond was for sale in Port Washington. In 2009, he wrote a memoir, "Behind the Bell."
Diamond was convicted of stabbing a man in 2015 during a barroom brawl in Port Washington. He was sentenced to 120 days in jail and 15 months of probation.
