Special Olympics Teams Bring Home Gold From Waukesha Tournament

Three Ozaukee County Special Olympics volleyball teams took home the gold after the Special Olympic Fall Sports State Tournament in Waukesha on Saturday.

"This was the first time that all three teams brought home the Gold from one Tournament," said Geralyn Esselman, who works with the Special Olympics program. "We are extremely proud of our athletes, the coaches and all the assistant coaches for a fabulous year."

The win is the third year in a row that the Falcons Volleyball Team brought home gold, Esselman said.

"With very favorable weather conditions, we had record breaking numbers of families and friends that were there to cheer the teams to victory," she said.
