Weather, 'Logistics' Delays Boerner Building Project
Renovations to the former Lueptow Building will continue through summer with a grand opening planned Sept. 1.

Though originally planned to open this summer, construction on the Boerner buildings in downtown Port Washington will now last until fall.
Building owner Daniel Ewig said the grand opening will now be held Sept. 1, according to an Ozaukee Press article, instead of the original July 1 deadline. He cited weather and "logistics" in the delay.
Demolition work began in October on the former Lueptow Building, 211 N. Franklin St. Conceptual plans call for a more open storefront with an inviting feel. There will be retail on first floor, possibly a restaurant, with offices on second floor for smaller companies and the third floor housing a larger business. Floor plans will allow tenants flexibility according to their needs.
