Back on March 17th, Whiskey of the Damned had a CD release party at Turner Hall. It was an amazing show and it made it even better since it fell on St. Patrick’s Day. Since the CD came out they have been doing more and more shows. Seems like every weekend you can catch them if you try.
If you came to the St. Patty’s Day show I was right up by the stage front and center, also one of the people involved with buying the band a round of Jameson.
What I actually found to be the absolute coolest part of the show was when I turned around, I was right at the stage, and saw a line of guys protecting the first row up by the stage from the moshers behind us. It was amazing to watch. I have never seen a group of guys care that much to keep those of us unable or unprepared to be moshed. I want to say a special thanks to those half dozen or so guys that helped out that night.
If you’ve never seen Whiskey of the Damned you should. If you have then you know what I am talking about...check them out and support your local music artists and venues.
