Will Ryan Braun Ever Recover from PED Scandal?
We asked Patch readers that very question, in the wake of the news of his season-ending suspension due to violating MLB's drug policy.

Major League Baseball’s season-ending suspension, without pay, of Ryan Braun has no doubt tarnished the Milwaukee Brewers slugger’s legacy, in a way the 65-game penalty or $3.3 million in lost wages can’t begin to measure.
Braun reportedly accepted the suspension Monday for violating the league’s drug policy in connection with evidence collected during an investigation into the Biogenesis clinic in Florida, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Essentially, Braun admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs and lying about it.
With that said, will Braun ever be able to regain his standing among Brewers fans? Is his reputation tarnished forever? Or will this eventually simmer down?

Port Washington-Saukville Patch Facebook fans took to our page in the wake of the news to share their opinions:
Wendy Braam Doyle:Â When a more powerful organization wants you to be guilty they will make you guilty. It doesn't mean you are.....Spin doctors work both good and bad ways.
Wayne Moeller:Â But when you admit to the wrong doing to your teammates, kind of tells me he might be guilty.....
Brian Miller:Â Ryan Braun could cure cancer in the off-season and his reputation still will be tarnished. He can't recover from this.
Bridgett Bartlein Drews:Â I think it may take awhile but he can prove himself again. And the season is pretty much over anyways they have played so bad this season
Greg Huegerich:Â Other than evading questions, he hasn't done anything wrong since 2010. The suspension is well timed (no coincidence with the timing of the royal birth), and it's a lost season, he'll be back with more to prove next year. It's just like suspending a starting pitcher for 4 games, just after he finished his last start.
Ray Meyer:Â Brewer fans will forgive him - did SF fans abandon Barry Bonds? Did Chicago shun Sammy Sosa? His legacy with MLB is forever tarnished and he is unlikely to be ever voted to the All-Star game again. But he will regain the love of the locals.
