Chargers Sending 5 to WIAA State Track and Field Meet
The Chargers did not have any individual champions against a tough field in their own sectional, but still sent athletes to the state meet next weekend in La Crosse.
Five athletes from Hamilton High School qualified for the WIAA state track and field meet during Thursday’s sectional at Hamilton.

Joel Fotsch was second in the 110 hurdles and Chais Blackburn was second in the 300 hurdles for the Chargers’ best finishes.

BOYS

- Drew Patterson, third, 400 meters
- Joel Fotsch, second, 110 hurdles
- Chais Blackburn, second, 300 hurdles
- Tony Koepnick, third, discus
GIRLS
- Ashlyn Paulson, third, 800 meters
Other individuals may also qualify based on time and the entire field will be released before the state meet, May 31-June 1 in La Crosse.
