'Shop With a Sheriff' to be Held at Waukesha Walmart

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department will be celebrating their 7th annual “Shop with a Sheriff” event on December 10, 2016 from 9-11a.m. at the Super Wal-Mart located at 2000 S. West Ave., City of Waukesha.

Each year, the sheriff's office works with Waukesha County Health and Human Services to select children in need who reside in Waukesha County.

This year, they have 27 kids signed up to participate. Each child will be paired up with a deputy or corrections officer and shop for holiday gifts for themselves and their family members. Walmart does an amazing job hosting this event and accommodating the large number of people involved. This event surely makes the

holiday season brighter for all of the children and their families, as well as the deputies and many volunteers that assist.
