Sussex Church To Host Human Trafficking Documentary Screening
Two churches partner with non-profit for community awareness and hope.

SUSSEX, WI - From Redeem & Restore: As more people learn that human trafficking is happening all over Wisconsin, they need hope for what can be possible. So, Oakbrook Church of Sussex is joining along with Wooded Hills Church for a community awareness night that is filled with hope. On Monday, January 15 at 6:30 pm all are invited to watch a documentary In Plain Sight; Stories of Hope & Freedom at Wooded Hills Church at 777 State Road 164 Colgate, WI.
"If people do not realize the depth of this problem, and that it is happening in our backyard, how can they help?” commented Krista Hull, the Founder and Director of Redeem and Restore Center. Their vision is to reach people all throughout Wisconsin with Awareness that leads to prevention, intervention and restoration. Krista also said, "If we focus on the hope, people will more readily be able to take action, instead of being overwhelmed by the evil."
Redeem and Restore Center is dedicated to establishing a long-term safe home that provides mental, physical, emotional and spiritual healing for women victims of human trafficking. This is a huge financial undertaking that requires creative ways to get communities engaged to help. In line with their vision, they also do prevention and intervention work. Human trafficking happens everywhere- even in all 72 counties of Wisconsin. Human trafficking is a thriving industry in the United States because of an unending supply of vulnerable people and the increasing demand of buyers. There are over 300,000 victims in the US. They each need hope and help to heal as they work through the many traumas they have endured-many that started in childhood.
