Sussex Man Arrested After Domestic Dispute, Crash
A 23-year-old man has been arrested after a fleeing officers following a domestic dispute reported in Sussex.

SUSSEX, WI — A 23-year-old man has been arrested after a fleeing officers following a domestic dispute reported in Sussex.
On Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at 11:23pm, Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department squads were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the Village of Sussex.
While enroute to the call, a deputy observed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect who had fled from the residence of the domestic disturbance. At this time a Ford Explorer heavily accelerated as the deputy attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle on Butternut Lane east of Clover Drive. The vehicle failed to stop and continued to flee eastbound on Butternut Lane reaching speeds of 60 miles per hour.

The vehicle ultimately lost control at the intersection of Butternut Lane and Pine Terrace in the Village of Sussex. The vehicle left the road way and crashed into two parked vehicles in the driveway at of a home on Pine Terrace. The sole occupant operator was taken into custody immediately after the crash.
The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department arrested the 23-year-old male resident of Sussex for Eluding and Operating while Intoxicated. The operator was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital for minor injuries and later booked into the Waukesha County Jail. No other injuries were sustained as a result of this incident.

At this time the incident remains under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff.
