Two Waukesha Sheriff's Deputies Injured While Responding to Incident

The Waukesha County Sheriff's office says that two deputies were injured when their patrol vehicles collided while on-duty.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — Two Waukesha County Sheriff's deputies were treated at Waukesha Memorial Hospital for injuries late Monday after two Sheriff's vehicles collided Monday while responding to a police call.

According to the Waukesha County Sheriff's office, on Monday, January 23, 2017, at 10:10 p.m., 2 Waukesha County Sheriff’s marked patrol units were responding to assist the Town of Mukwonago Police Department with an armed suicidal subject.

While responding to that call, one of the Sheriff’s patrol units rear-ended the other patrol unit on Hwy Z at School Section Lake Road in the Town of Ottawa.

Both deputies were taken to Waukesha Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The accident is being investigated by Wisconsin State Patrol and remains under investigation at this time.
