WAUKESHA COUNTY -- Looking for a family-friendly activity this weekend?

Mark September 9 & 10, 2016 on your calendars! The Waukesha County Sheriff's deputies association will be holding their annual charity softball tournament, car show, silent auction, and raffle benefiting Make-A-Wish® and Dryhooch. Dryhooch is a coffee house for America's Veterans.

This year, the department's Make A Wish child is Steven, an 11-year-old child who was diagnosed with Very High Risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. "Steven’s journey has been difficult, but his upbeat personality and positive disposition has helped all of us through this challenging time."

CO-ED SOFTBALL

The Co-Ed softball tournament hosts around 20 teams each year competing for bragging rights and cash prizes. The games start Friday evening and go through Saturday.

CAR SHOW

There is also a car show at the park. Registration begins at 10 a.m., awards are presented at 2 p.m. Silent auction and raffle prizes are awarded at 5 p.m. The Power of a Wish Car Show grows every year. 2014 brought in a record number of collector vehicles of all makes and models. MOTORCYCLE RIDE

The escorted motorcycle ride starts at Hal's Harley-Davidson, 1925 S. Moorland Rd. in New Berlin at 10am and end at Sussex park at 12:30pm. If you want to participate in the ride, here is the registration form.

SILENT AUCTION

With power tools, crafts, sports memorabilia, gift certificates, and much more, you are sure to find something you won't want to go without. The silent auction is open all day waiting for your bid. Come early and bid often!

RAFFLE

Top prize is $4,000 cash. Other prizes typically include televisions, tablets, cameras, and other cash prizes. Tickets are sold from June until the event. Please contact Becky Wittig at rwittig@waukeshacounty.gov if you are interested in donating a prize or purchasing raffle tickets.
