Women And Girls Fund Of Waukesha County Adds New Board Members

Five new members of the board of directors will serve three-year terms.

The Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County (WGF) has elected five members to its Board of Directors. They are:

• Claire Beglinger of Waukesha, retired director of public relations at Carroll University. Prior to Carroll, she was the news editor at the Waukesha Freeman. A longtime member of the Christmas Clearing Council of Waukesha County Board of Directors, she also has volunteered for the Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic and WomenConnected.

• Lori Lorenz of Okauchee, executive vice president, chief administrative officer at American Transmission Co., responsible for human resources, safety, facilities and corporate communications. An active community volunteer, she serves on the Roger’s Memorial Hospital Foundation board, Waukesha County Business Alliance Board, and the UW-Madison Center for Professional and Executive Development Advisory Board.

• Lorna McDaniel of Pewaukee, founder and owner of McDaniel Consulting LLC, which provides consulting services for non-profit organizations to use their own data to provide clarity and maximum productivity. She is president of the TEMPO Waukesha board of directors and a volunteer at The Women’s Center.

• Onnie Leach Smith of Delafield, a retired attorney who specialized in estate planning and probate. She has been a volunteer or board member for Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, Safe Babies/Healthy Families, Easter Seals of Wisconsin, Elmbrook Memorial Hospital Foundation, Elmbrook Humane Society, and Angels Grace Hospice, among others.

• Karie Stupek of Rio Verde, Arizona, founding partner of K-T Training Solutions, a training and consulting firm specializing in keynote presentations, workshop facilitation, corporate training and meeting planning. With nearly 25 years’ experience in the resort, hotel and hospitality industry, she was the director of sales and marketing at the former Country Springs Hotel.

The WGF board leadership team includes Kelly Skindzelewski of West Allis, chair; Karie Stupek, co-chair; Terri Phillips of Oconomowoc, secretary; Chelsea Zhao of Brookfield, treasurer; and Karen Conrad of Sussex, member at large. Other board members are Kim Preston of Lake Mills, Louise Hermsen of Hartland, Latrice Knighton of Wauwatosa, Kathleen Perlewitz of Waukesha and Amie Williams of Brookfield.
