Authorities said the accident happened near 70th Street and State Street just after 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to a WTMJ report, Davey and his friends were riding their bicycles near the tracks when a westbound train prevented them from seeing a second train heading east. The eastbound train hit Davey.

That intersection is the closest one to the Hart Park playground and Tosa Skate Park and is located just south of a shopping complex that contains two grocery stores and a variety of smaller businesses.
