68-Year-Old Garden And Pet Supply Biz To Close In Wauwatosa
Wisconsin Garden & Pet Supply Owners Bob and Dan Gerlach are retiring.

WAUWATOSA, WI— After 68 years of business, Wisconsin Garden & Pet Supply,8520 W. North Ave., will be closing its doors on July 31.
Wisconsin Garden & Pet Supply is a family-owned and operated small business offering a variety of gardening, gift, and pet care items.
Owners Bob and Dan Gerlach will be retiring, joining their siblings Tom and Sue who have been retired for several years, according to a news release.

The family has been humbled at the support of the community since the opening of the small shop on Lefeber and North Avenue in 1953 by parents Chuck and Eileen and with the subsequent relocation to 86th and North Avenue in 1958.
“The community continues to support our business extraordinarily well,” Bob Gerlach said in a statement. “The past year we have been busier than ever with demand for home, pet and garden products all at record levels and the business continues to thrive.”

Currently, Wisconsin Garden & Pet Supply has a retirement inventory clearance sale underway, continuing until the store closes.
The business has retained a commercial Real Estate Broker to market the property and the family is excited to see what the future brings for it.
After more than 40 years of serving Wauwatosa and the surrounding area, the Gerlach Siblings look forward to the next phase of life in retirement and enjoying more time for family, pets and gardens.
The owners thank the entire community for their continued support and hope to see their customers off with one last exceptional spring season, the release said.
