A Lady Is Leaving, But Her Legacy Stays and Grows with Her
Moving to Arizona for her husband's health, LaDonna Telford has appointed a business partner here to keep Lady In Red running while she opens another shop there.

It was just last Dec. 1 that LaDonna Telford opened her first business, Lady in Red, here in Tosa on North Avenue.
Already she's going to expand, planning to open her second resale fashion clothing shop.
The catch, though, is that we're losing her. Telford is moving to Maricopa, Arizona. But Lady in Red No. 1Â will stay in business while she opens No. 2 there.
"Nothing will change for the worse," Telfod said, "but for the better, because I will be three hours from Mexico, three hours for Las Vegas and three hours from LA.
"This will be a plus to Lady In Red-Milwaukee, because I will shop for great deals and ship items here."
Telford is a shopaholic with a passion for fashion and an eye for a bargain – so much so that she found she could turn a little profit by reselling new and gently used apparel at prices anyone can afford. She does all the legwork, and her customers get name-brand and designer goods at a fraction of the suggested retail price.
It isn't that Telford outgrew Tosa so fast – she loves it here.
"We are only moving for the better health of my better half, my husband, Frank," Telford said. "He has been retired and dealing with health issues for years, and this Wisconsin winter is not good for his health. I would never leave for any other reason."
Taking over the Tosa business at 7219 W. North Ave. will be Shenika Burt.
"You all will love my partner, Shenika," Telford said. "I will not leave my baby with someone I didn't trust to run it like I would."
