Armed Robberies Reported In Wauwatosa: Police

Wauwatosa Police responded to several reports of armed robberies the week of April 26.

WAUWATOSA, WI—Wauwatosa Police responded to several reports of armed robberies the week of April 26. According to the police log:

On April 30 in the 4300 block of North 92nd Street, a man was robbed at gun point of $1,630 in belongings.

On May 2 on North 63rd Street and West Center Street, Wauwatosa Police responded to a possible car theft and carjacking in the 2100 block of North 66 Street. While at the scene, police located a multiple car crash in the 6300 block of West Center Ave. One of the cars involved matched the description of a suspect car used in the attempt vehicle theft / carjacking. It was found this crash was not related to the original call. While on scene, one of the people punched another person and ran away. The crash and altercation occurred in the City of Milwaukee.

On May 3, in the 2400 block of North 68th Street, a teenager approached a man while he sat in his driveway. When the teenager say the man in his 2015 Mazda, he was scared away but pointed a shiny object towards the owner. The teen left the area after he got into the rear driver's side of a newer, white Kia SUV, unknown make/plate.

A man was the victim of an armed robbery on Thursday in the 10200 block of of West Ruby Avenue. The man told police the incident happened in his driveway. Total theft was reported as $15,000.

A 2020 maroon Kia Optima was reported stolen on Thursday in the 2200 block of North 60 Street as it sat in a driveway. Prior to stealing the car, one of the suspects pointed a silver object, believed to be a handgun, at one of the car's owners as he yelled down to them from the second floor of his residence. After making entry to and starting the car, the suspects backed it out of the driveway and struck the residence, with its rear passenger side before fleeing. Total theft amount was $20,000. The estimated damage to the residence was $7,000.
