Bark 'n Brew Pairs Dogs and Beer at Hart Park Next Weekend
The two-day event will feature fun for dog owners and beer enthusiasts

WAUWATOSA -- Stout and schnauzers are pairing up as radio station B93.3 and Schlossman Subaru City are holding the first Bark 'n Brew at Hart Park, 7300 W. Chestnut St., a two-day event for dog owners and beer enthusiasts. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28.
The new event will feature entertainment from Andrew Han's Disc Dogs that snatch Frisbees out of the air, demonstrations from the Milwaukee Police Department's K9 unit, and dogs can compete for distance and height in the Ultimate Air Dog Competition.
Maggiano's Bark Garden with offer a variety of craft beers from Lagunitas and Vander Mill Ciders, wine from Forgotten Fire Winery, and food from Maggiano's Little Italy and local food trucks.

Contests for canines include best trick, a dog and owner lookalike contest, an '80s costume contest, best kisser and the Furminator (biggest hairball). Vendors also will be on hand to educate owners on nutrition, obedience training, pet care, and grooming.
Admission to the event is free and a portion of the proceeds from food and beverage sales will benefit JR's Pups-n-Stuff, a local nonprofit that provides foster homes for rescues. JR's also will be at the event accepting applications for pet adoptions.

All dogs in attendance must be leashed and have updated vaccines.
