Bob Dylan's Unpublished Love Note To Wisconsin Set For Auction
Dylan wrote the song at age 21 after briefly living in Wisconsin, where he had also attended summer camp as a child.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Two pages of Bob Dylan's handwritten lyrics penned as an ode to the state of Wisconsin were to be auctioned off Thursday at a Los Angeles auction house.
Dylan, who briefly lived in Wisconsin, wrote the song in November 1961 in New York at age 20 shortly after signing with Columbia Records. Born in Minnesota, Dylan also spent time at summer camp in Wisconsin as a teenager.
The song is somewhat of a love letter to the state, with lyrics like "my home's in Wisconsin, it's a better place to think" and "Madison, Milwaukee sets my heart aglow." Dylan also refers to the city of Wauwatosa as "Wow Wow Toaster."

Instead of recording the song, Dylan gave the lyrics to Peter Crago, a musician who briefly lived with him in New York.
Bidding was to start at $30,000 at the Nate D. Sanders Auction House. The auction is set to end at 3 p.m. Thursday, and at press time, there were no bids.
