Children’s Wisconsin To Host Annual Winter Carnival

MILWAUKEE, WI— Children’s Wisconsin is hosting its annual Winter Carnival for patients and their families. The fun and festive event takes place on Wednesday, Dec. 11 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

A special treat for this year’s festivities will be the topping off ceremony at the hospital’s major construction project. At 3 p.m., the final beam, which has been signed by patients and families, will get lifted into place at the construction site next door.

The topping off ceremony will be broadcast on Facebook Live and projected in the lobby and into each patient room in the hospital.

Other activities include:

• Holiday music from the Children’s Wisconsin Choir
• Construction-themed crafts with members of The Boldt Company and CannonDesign
• Winter-themed games and photo station
• Hot cocoa, apple cider and other winter treats, including Blizzards donated by Dairy Queen
• Special appearances from Santa Claus and therapy dogs dressed as Reindeer.
