Closures In Wauwatosa: Wednesday Jan. 30

WAUWATOSA, WI -- Bitterly-cold weather this week has forced the closure of numerous schools and agencies in Wauwatosa this week, including the Wauwatosa School District.

Here is a message posted Tuesday from Wauwatosa School District officials:

All Wauwatosa Public Schools will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 30 due to the extreme cold and National Weather Service Wind Chill Warning, which begins at 6 p.m. this evening. All after-school activities and meetings for Wednesday are also canceled.

Additionally, all activities scheduled for 6 p.m. or later on Tuesday, Jan. 29, are also canceled. All Wauwatosa Recreation Department after-school and evening classes are canceled for tonight and tomorrow.

A decision about school on Thursday will be made Wednesday and communicated out.

Other Closures in Wauwatosa on Jan. 30, 2019:

Municipal Court for Wednesday, Jan. 30 has also been canceled. According to city officials, if you had a scheduled or initial appearance for Jan. 30, your new court date will be Wednesday, Feb. 20, at the same scheduled time.

Mayfair Mall has also announced that its closing early Today and Tomorrow: the mall will close at 6 p.m. on both Tuesday, Jan. 29 and Wednesday, Jan. 30.
