The survey findings will be presented on July 15 at 4:30 pm via a virtual public information meeting.
July 9, 2020
The Historic Preservation Commission recently commissioned a City-wide intensive survey to identify residential properties of architectural and historical significance that are potentially eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places in the area generally described as south of the Menomonee River and Underwood Creek, east of Mayfair Road, and north and west of the municipal boundaries. The survey findings will be presented Wednesday, July 15 at 4:30 pm via a virtual public information meeting. Representatives from the Wisconsin Historical Society and Legacy Architecture, the consulting firm conducting the survey, will be in attendance to provide details of the survey and answer questions.

Funding for this project was provided entirely by a Certified Local Government Subgrant from the National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior and administered by the Wisconsin Historical Society. The two phases of the survey have been completed and are available for review.
This meeting will be conducted virtually as permitted by the June 9, 2020 resolution of the Wauwatosa Common Council. In-person attendance by members of the public will be limited pursuant to the Wauwatosa Health Officer's May 18, 2020 "Suburban Milwaukee County Safe Opening Capacity Guidance", which at this time suggests using all necessary and appropriate health precautions for in-person gatherings.
