Fiddleheads Coffee Shop Eyes Wauwatosa Location
There are still plans to convert and relocate the Brookfield historic rail depot built back in 1866, into a Fiddlehead.
WAUWATOSA, WI—Fiddleheads Coffee is coming to Wauwatosa. There are plans to create a shop at 8807 W. North Ave.
Founded in Thiensville, Wisconsin, Fiddleheads is a family-owned specialty coffee company with multiple cafes, a small-batch coffee roastery, and artisan bakery, according to its website.
Fiddleheads Head of Marketing Mahnaz Marcy told Patch the company had been looking at various opportunities around and near Ozaukee county, for expansion and came across the Wauwatosa property.

She explained when the right opportunity comes along in any of the markets Fiddleheads is interested in, they take it.
"We keep our cafés close by each other, they’re always touching the next one, so moving a little ahead from Menomonee Falls into Wauwatosa was the next step," Marcy said.

Marcy added Wauwatosa has always been a high priority and is enticing.
"The property we were interested in is located perfectly in a commercial/ residential area and, we love the community, we like the dynamics of the marketplace and want to be part of it," Marcy said.
There is no word on an expected opening date.
Over in Brookfield, there are still plans to convert and relocate Brookfield's oldest buildings - the historic rail depot built back in 1866, into a Fiddleheads. The relocation of the rail depot - currently nestled precariously between two sets of railroad tracks will be moved to 19100 North Hills Drive.
The 2,500-square-foot coffee shop will be situated at the trail head for a Waukesha County bike trail. Waukesha County will extend an existing bike trail to Fiddleheads.
"As for Brookfield, we are working closely with the city to begin the relocation process. No new updates on that yet," Marcy told Patch.
