Hit And Run Driver Crashes, Detained By Citizens Before Arrest
Police said that the man hit and injured another driver before being taken into custody.

WAUWATOSA, WI — A man is charged with a hit and run and bail jumping after a police stop led to a crash and a foot chase last week.
Nico Ray Hernandez, 26, is charged with one count of hit and run and two counts of bail jumping. Both charges are misdemeanors. He was arrested June 13.
Hernandez fled from police during a traffic stop in the 9000 block of North Avenue, police said. He then struck another vehicle at the intersection of W. Lloyd Street and N. 72nd Street, injuring a driver, according to police. Police officers then took him into custody after citizens detained him when he fled the crash on foot.

Hernandez pleaded not guilty to the charges, according to court records.
