Milwaukee And Waukesha Task Force To Combat Impaired Driving
Task Force Officers will be out stopping, testing and arresting impaired drivers over the St. Patrick's Day, and extending into spring.
WAUWATOSA, WI—On Friday at 5 p.m., as part of a Southeast Wisconsin Impaired Driving Task Force deployment, the Milwaukee Police Department will be hosting a “Street Roll Call” at the State Fair Park and Ride Parking Lot near the intersection of N. 76th St. and I-94, according to a news release.
Multiple law enforcement agencies from Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties will be in attendance.
After the roll call, the OWI Task Force officers will deploy into their communities in the form of directed patrol assignments to detect, stop and arrest drivers that are under the influence of alcohol and/or narcotics throughout the weekend.

Currently, there are over 40 law enforcement agencies that coordinate and participate in various OWI Task Force deployments on specific dates like this one all over Southeast Wisconsin.
The message within the Task Force's mission statement is clear: “We will stop, test, arrest, and lockup as many impaired drivers as necessary to prevent needless crashes, injuries and deaths on our roadways.”

Task Force Officers will be out in force stopping, testing and arresting impaired drivers over the St. Patrick’s Day holiday, and extending throughout the spring, to include enforcement for Opening Day and March Madness, the release said.
