Musical Storyteller Livens Up the Library on Monday

Blending history and some fantasy, song and story, Stuart Stotts takes kids on a journey outside the walls of the library Monday morning and afternoon.

In song and story, Stuart Stotts captivates children in ways that make the true and historical seem wonderful and fantastical – and the mythical seem real.

Presented by the Wauwatosa Public Library, Stotts performs "Dig in and Dig It" for all ages from 10 to 10:45 a.m. and from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. Monday, July in the Civic Center Auditorium.

It's cool underground, where stories and songs live deep in our bones, Stotts relates. Listen to a story about a magical cave, hear about the underground railroad that ran through the Midwest, and sing and laugh along on a musical journey that is under this world.

Expect the song "How Do I Know? I Read it in a Book," "When I Grow Up" and a trip up and down musical scales on the shiny and unique National Steel Guitar.

No registration is required for this special presentation by the library.
