No Injuries Reported In Wauwatosa Apartment Fire
An apartment fire broke out on Friday evening in the 2600 block of N. 67th Street.
WAUWATOSA, WI— An apartment fire broke out on Friday evening in the 2600 block of N. 67th Street, according to a Wauwatosa Fire Department news release.
A tenant encountered smoke coming from a lower unit apartment and called 911.
Arriving crews were met with heavy smoke coming from a first-floor apartment of a four-unit apartment complex. The Wauwatosa Fire Department, along with Milwaukee Fire Department, placed the fire under control in less than 15 minutes, the release said.

Tenants from the apartment complex escaped without injury. The fire was contained to one apartment. The American Red Cross along with WE energies was called for assistance.
The exact cause of the fire is undetermined but appears to have started in the living room, the release said.

The fire investigation has been closed by the Wauwatosa Fire Marshall. Crews were out in the neighborhood on Saturday distributing smoke detectors and providing fire safety tips.
