Registration Ends Next Week For May 6 Run/Walk To Benefit Educators Foundation Of Wauwatosa

Registration ends Wednesday, April 5, for the run, which will be held at the Milwaukee County Zoo.

MILWAUKEE - The Education Foundation of Wauwatosa has announced Wednesday, April 6, as the registration for their May 6 walk/run, which awards money for education initiatives that support Wauwatosa public school students.

Warm-up for the one-mile event starts at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at the Milwaukee County Zoo with the run at 8:30 a.m., the walk at 9 a.m., and awards (for student runners only) at 9:30 a.m. The walk includes an optional scavenger hunt. There also is a bike drawing for elementary school students and a 50/50 raffle drawn at the end of the awards ceremony.

Since 1990, the EFW has funded 358 grants totaling more than $664,000 for public school students. The foundation has helped more than 6,800 students in the 2016-2017 school year alone.

Registration is $15 and participants must wear their event T-shirt for admission. Visit www.tosaefw.org for registration, information on sponsorship and donation, and map of the grounds/route.
