Root Common Park Concert Series Starts This Week
The Wauwatosa Village concert series returns this June and will last until September.
WAUWATOSA, WI — A local concert series is returning to the park in the Village of Wauwatosa.
Root Series 2021 features singer and songwriter Ryan McIntyre at Root Common Park on Thursday.
Organizers at the Village of Wauwatosa said the event would start at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. The Village said that four local businesses — The Flannel Fox, Salamander, Shop Privy and Tabal Chocolate — would keep their doors open until 8 p.m.

McIntyre's website says he is an award-winning musician from Waukesha. He usually plays 200 shows a year and has won seven Wisconsin Area Music Industry awards.
"With just his voice and guitar, he makes music with a combination of tasteful melodies and storytelling lyrics that will please fans of many different genres," said the website. "His interactive shows entertain crowds of all ages."

The Root Series will start in June and last until September with different musicians each date. Here are the concert dates and artists posted so far:
- June 17 - Ryan McIntyre
- July 15 - The Panoptics
- August 19 - TBA
- Sept. 16 - TBA
The concert will be free and open to the public.
