Shop Hartung Market, Then Catch Some Classical Sounds

Wednesday could become the new Saturday. Find the "other farmers market" at mid-week and then hie yourself down to a Tosa Tonight concert in Hart Park.

The Saturday morning Tosa Farmers Market in the Village gets most of the attention, but it's not the only locally grown game in town.

If you haven't done so yet, make Wednesday evening your second weekly fresh market day by visiting the Hartung Park Farmers Market, from 4 to 7 p.m.

After a late spring, we're just starting to hit the peak of the summer produce season, with homegrown tomatoes starting to appear. Make the trek to the Menomonee River Parkway, a couple blocks north of Burleigh Street between Concordia and Keefe avenues to find Hartung Park.

The market is open every Wednesday through the season.

And, for a uniquely Wauwatosa experience, you can top off your night after shopping for the whole-est of foods by catching some music at the every-Wednesday Tosa Tonight concerts at the Rotary Performance Pavilion in Hart Park.

This Wednesday, the concert takes a classical turn with sounds from the Intermezzo Ensemble from 6 to 7 p.m. and then the headliner Concord Chamber Orchestra from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Good food that feeds the body, music that feeds the soul – Wednesdays in Wauwatosa.
