Snow Moving In Early Thursday
Our two-day respite of warm weather is about to vanish into thin air as a round of rain turns to snow Thursday morning.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Our two-day respite of warm weather is about to vanish into thin air as a round of rain turns to snow Thursday morning.
According to the National Weather Service, a strengthening low pressure weather system passing to the south of Wisconsin is expected to bring a wintry mix of precipitation to southern Wisconsin late Wednesday night into Thursday.
Periods of rain are expected Wednesday evening, but will likely change over to wet snow late in the night into Thursday morning across most of southern Wisconsin. The snow will then taper off Thursday afternoon into Thursday evening. Far southeast Wisconsin has the best chance of seeing all rain.

Meteorologists say that it will also be quite windy on Thursday. North to northeast winds will gust to 25 to 30 miles per hour, creating reduced visibility along with falling snow. Expect to drive slowly.
There remains considerable uncertainty regarding the track and strength of this system. The current trend is for less snowfall in southeast Wisconsin. The wet snow and reduced visibility may impact the Thursday morning commute. The latest forecast is calling for up to one half inch.
