Suspected Drunken Driver Pulls in Next to Squad Car
Imagine being so baked you fail to notice that you're pulling off the road and parking next to a police officer. Oh yes, it happens.

A Wauwatosa police officer in a marked car was a bit surprised when he pulled into a parking lot to observe a suspicious driver, and moments later the suspect pulled into the same parking lot and stopped almost beside him.
The driver ended up with a citation for drunken driving, first offense.
At 10:45 p.m. July 26, the officer saw a car ahead of him stopped in the traffic lane in front of the Rosebud Cinema, 6823 North Ave. It's plates were improperly displayed in the back window and were unreadable, he said.
The officer proceeded to the Subway parking lot at 6733 North Ave. and began to pull in, watching in his rear-view mirror, when he heard other drivers honking their horns at the impeding driver.
As the officer was swinging around to get in position to follow the suspect, the driver lurched forward across the intersection of North and 68th and pulled in next to him.
The officer simply hit his emergency lights, and the driver did stop but then got out of his car and "stumbled to his left," the officer said. The man would not get back into his car as ordered, and so the officer escorted him to the back of his car for an interview.
He said the suspect reeked of alcohol, was slurred, bloodshot and glassy, and could hardly keep his eyes open.
The suspect agreed to take field sobriety tests, but he couldn't finish any of them without losing his balance.
All this, he said, was after having "two beers."
The suspect agreed to give a breath test but was unable to provide a proper sample and was put down as a refusal.
