Thefts, Burglaries At 4 Wauwatosa Businesses: Police
Wisconsin Garden and Pet Supply, Alternatives in Psychological Consultation, Ulta Beauty and H&R Block reported incidents.
WAUWATOSA, WI— Several businesses in Wauwatosa reported incidents of theft the week of April 12, according to the Wauwatosa Police log.
- A person burglarized Wisconsin Garden and Pet Supply, 8520 W North Ave on April 16. Cash was removed from the cash register. Police have not suspects.
- Sometime between April 7 and April 16, $540 in cash was stolen from money envelopes at H&R Block, 6650 W State St.
- Sometime between April 17 and April 19, forced entry was made to Alternatives in Psychological Consultation, 10045 W Lisbon Rd. Several offices were ransacked and items were stolen.
- Four suspects stole various men's and women's fragrance items from Ulta Beauty, 11500 W. Burleigh St. on April 21. Total value was estimated at $2,000.
Also in Wauwatosa, several car thefts were reported the week of April 12.
- In the overnight hours of April 16, a 2015 Kia Optima valued at $8,000 was stolen from a driveway in the 2300 block of North 71st Street. According to the log, the car was locked at the time.
- Two men attempted to steal a Ford Fusion parked at 1200 N. 62nd Street on April 16. Suspicious suspects were reported for breaking into another car parked on that lot around the same time. A witness also reported seeing a suspicious older model silver sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Impala, stopped in front of the Ford Fusion around 11:30 p.m. and a suspect near the Ford entered the silver sedan.
- Forced entry was made to a locked 2020 Kia Sorento on April 18 in the 2500 block of N. 62 Street. The front passenger side window was smashed, while it sat parked in the driveway. A person attempted to steal it by peeling the steering column to access the internal ignition parts. The suspect was unsuccessful in stealing the car and were possibly scared off by the victim / resident upon him waking up and turning on the exterior residential lights. Total estimated damages was $1,500.
- In the overnight hours of April 18 in the 2600 block of North 63rd Street, a suspect stole a Hyundai Tucson. Broken glass was left at the scene.
- A person reported someone reported that someone stole his catalytic converter from his vehicle a Biege Lexus in the 89oo block of Jackson Park on April 20. Estimated total value to repair $2,000.
