The sheriff's office said at about 3 p.m., a suburban police department arrested someone on a retail theft warrant in another jurisdiction, according to a news release.

The male was taken by the police department to a hospital in the vicinity of North 13th Street and West State Streets.

Officials in the jurisdiction, that issued the warrant, said that they were no longer seeking the male to be transferred, the release said.

Police left the hospital.

Shortly before p.m., the male left the hospital still wearing jail attire. During this time, his movements were reported to multiple law enforcement agencies due to concerns regarding his attire.

"At no time during this sequence of events did the subject escape from the jail facility or from any escorting law enforcement officer," the release said.
