Wauwatosa's application to silence train horns remains under review, according to the city's website.
"They indicate a decision may come soon," the website states.
The City of Wauwatosa lost its quiet-zone status by the Federal Railroad Administration earlier this summer. The city has been working to update the crossings at 63rd Street and 115th Street in order to re-instate its application, according to the city's website.
The city has to prove that it meets federal requirements in order to have its quiet zone re-established.
