After months of construction in the area, State Street has opened to two-way traffic. Here are the other Wauwatosa construction updates:

WAUWATOSA, WI — Drivers in Wauwatosa got a boost this week with the return of two-way traffic on State St. between 68th St. and 74th St. Officials in Wauwatosa said that construction crews are going to continue to perform work on the sidewalk, bike path, fencing, lighting, and other areas through the Fall.

Construction crews are continuing to work on curbs, sidewalk, street lights and trees in front of the recently opened apartment complex near Underwood and Harmonee Avenues. Officials say they anticipate laying asphalt after Labor Day in this area. With the school year just ahead, Wauwatosa officials are asking the public be mindful of the lane shift and increased traffic in the area.

Workers have also installed play equipment, including musical instruments in Root Common Park. Other detail work continues in Pocket Park, as well as landscaping plans for the small grassy area just west of Wauwatosa Avenue.
