Vita Fitness To Open In 106-Year-Old Wauwatosa Building
Mandel is restoring the historic building as part of its Crescent Apartments development, opening in early May 2021.

WAUWATOSA, WI— A new gym is coming to Wauwatosa.
Mandel Group, Inc., a Milwaukee-based developer, announced Friday that Vita Fitness & Physical Therapy will open a new location in a restored building within the Milwaukee County Research Park. The historic building is located at 10460 Innovation Dr.
Restoration and reconstruction work is underway to save and retrofit the 106 year-old building, originally built to provide steam and hot water to the historic Muirdale TB Sanotorium. Only a few of the original buildings remain from the once-sprawling hospital campus.

This will be Vita's second location in the metro Milwaukee market. Vita has been in business for 17 years as an independent, locally owned and operated heath care company.
Mandel is restoring the historic building as part of its Crescent Apartments development, which is opening in early May 2021. The apartments will include approximately 102 units at 10460 Innovation Drive. A historic former powerhouse adjacent to the apartments is being converted to a restaurant.

Ally's Bistro of Menomonee Falls announced in August it's planning to open a second location in the historic building. The new café will be known as "Ally's Powerhouse Café."
Crescent Apartments residents will enjoy membership access to Vita’s cardio and workout Upper Gymnasium.
