Wauwatosa Home Shot At, Residents Not Home At The Time

Police responded to the 2300 block of North 67th Street on Saturday.

WAUWATOSA, WI—Wauwatosa Police and Fire Department were dispatched Saturday for a report of gun fire. Around 5 a.m., police responded to the 2300 block of North 67th Street.

The residents posted on social media "someone shot 18 times into the front of the house."

While on scene, police located numerous casing and a home that had been struck by gunfire. The residents of that house were not home at the time, there were no injuries, Wauwatosa Police said.

"Based on a call received about “loud noises/fireworks” at 2 a.m., it is believed that the shots were fired at that time," police said.

Officers had responded to the area earlier in the evening for a disorderly conduct complaint; it is unknown if the incidents are related.
